There are fans who want the movie released immediately no matter what, and there are other fans who want the movie cancelled, or at least re-cast with new lead actor. I have another solution:
I think Warner Bros. should delay the release of the movie a year. This would give the controversies time to die down while maintaining the continuity for the DCEU. It would also give Warner Bros. a chance to re-market the movie and Miller time to rehabilitate his image. Warner Bros. would also have time to decide if they want to recast the part. (My suggestion would be Freddie Highmore, who played Dr. Shaun Murphy in The Good Doctor.) I think this is a better solution than cancelling the entire movie, or pushing forward with the June 2023 release date while Miller’s actions are still fresh in everyone’s mind.
But no matter what I would love to see a Flash movie and hope it still gets made.
See you at the movies!
