Alita: Battle Angel is directed by Robert Rodriguez and produced by James Cameron. Alita is a cyborg that is found in the scrapyard by a scientist named Dr. Ido who raises her until she discovers her past. She goes on a quest to discover who she is.
I thought the movie was great. Rosa Salazar gave a stunning performance as Alita. The cast is really good. The special effects in the movie are much clearer than they were in the trailers. The effects (especially in the Motorball scenes) are breathtaking, and the music score is pretty good too. This movie should be seen in 3D on the largest screen you can find. The pacing is a lot quicker than I thought. The movie was two hours long but it was not boring at all. I never had to look at my watch to see how much time was left. The movie ended before I knew it and I left the theatre with a smile on my face. This is supposed to be the first film of a potential franchise. I can’t wait to see the next movie. Alita: Battle Angel is worth the price of admission, especially in 3D. I give it a 10 out of 10. It is Robert Rodriguez’s best film since Sin City. I hope it does well in the theaters so that the Fox/Disney merger doesn’t happen at all. This was a great film to help us pass the time until James Cameron’s Avatar sequels come out. Go see it! Take a look at the new trailer! Starring Will Smith as the Genie, Mena Massoud as Aladdin, and Naomi Scott as Jasmine.
I think this trailer deserves more likes. It looks awesome! I've got my tickets! Join me this Friday night at the Regal Theatres in Kingstown at 7:00pm to see Alita: Battle Angel in 3D RPX. See you there!
