Just a few moments ago, I went to the theatre to go see Christopher Nolan's new movie Tenet in IMAX and it was great. It was very safe and everyone had their masks on. I do recommend going to the theaters again, the way I exprienced it. However, that is not why we're here. We're here to talk about Tenet and see if it holds up after all the delays, due to COVID-19 . Before I begin, I a;so recommend seeing the new version of Mulan, if you have the time, because that movie is very good, trust me. Otherwise, give that a rental, when it comes out on DVD and Blu-ray. Let's just move on.
Anyway, so the story of Tenet is as follows: Armed with only one word, Tenet, and fighting for the survival of the entire world, a Protagonist journeys through a twilight world of international espionage on a mission that will unfold in something beyond real time.
So, yeah. Basically, time goes backwards and a team of spies prevent World War III from ever happening.
This film ranks among Christopher Nolan's masterpieces with brilliant performances from the cast, incredible special effects, a great music score and masterful direction. Yet, the film contains a few similarities to one of Nolan's other movies, Inception. However, the two-and-a-half hour running time almost makes it so complicated, you'd have to pay attention to everything.
Outside of that, Tenet is the movie that will save 2020, with the end of the pandemic reaching closer as the weeks go by.
Tenet gets 10 out of 10.
See you at the movies and at this time, stay safe and wash your hands. Seriously!
